This fold-out book was born out of the illustrator’s admiration for Henry David Thoreau. Reading his texts inspired her to create this book, which pays homage to the American writer’s particular way of feeling nature. The illustrations are accompanied by a selection of the author’s reflections collected in his books and diaries, as well as a personal text in which the illustrator recreates the call that the young Henry must have felt, perhaps coming out of the heart of the forest.
